PREPARING FOR YOUR OPENING

What you need to do to prepare for your pool opening appointment to assure the smoothest and most efficient opening possible.

Follow these simple guidelines before we arrive for your opening to make for the smoothest transition from your closed pool to your open, up, and running backyard slice of paradise!

  • Drain your cover – If you have a tarp or waterbag cover over your inground pool or a tarp cover over your above ground pool, you’ll want to be sure to drain the cover and remove as much of the collected leaves and other debris as possible before our arrival.  This will significantly increase the chances of your pool opening up clean and clear because the water and debris collected on top of your cover won’t have a chance to seep into your pool water potentially ary to do so.  Just let us know beforehand so we can schedule the extra time to get it done. Draining your cover* can be done by making a simple siphon with your garden hose or by using a cover drain pump.

*If you’re unable to drain your cover we will gladly do so for you for an additional fee depending on time needed to complete the task.

  • Accessories Accessible – Before we arrive for your opening, just be sure to have your ladders, railings, diving boards, baskets, fittings, cover bag and anything else necessary for your pool opening accessible to us when we get there.  If for some reason you are missing return fittings and other necessary accessories we always have extras with us for you! We do not install entry or exit systems in any above ground pool. Installation of your entry and exit system is your responsibility and please, in every above ground pool, be sure to use a properly sized ladder pad under your ladder to prevent damage to your liner.

  • Power – If the main power to your pump station was turned off at a breaker in your main panel box during your pool closing (main power should always be turned off to your pump station at closing time), be sure to leave us instructions as to how to access your breaker box or have someone home to turn it back on at time of opening.  Power should not be turned back on until we arrive for your opening.

  • Payment – Payment for your pool opening is due at time of opening.  We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards on site making it easy for you to pay and we always leave you with a detailed receipt to keep for your records.
