SAND CHANGES + OTHER FILTER MEDIA CHANGES

Sand Changes - REQUIRED regular maintenance for all pools with a Sand Filter - 98% of our market utilizes sand filtration and the sand must be changed regularly

The Sand Change is a highly valued service that we offer not only as a regular maintenance element of your pool but to also save you money in the long run on chemical and energy costs.  The sand in your filter should be changed every 3-5 years to optimize your overall swimming pool experience and to allow both the filter and the pump to consistently perform in the most efficient manner possible.  Any time you buy a new home with a pool and sand filter, one of the first pool maintenance items you should do is a sand change regardless of when it was last done.  You do not want the previous owners bacteria and waste in your new pool plus, you generally will not know when when the last sand change was performed.  If you’re having difficulty with cloudy pool water or you feel like you’re just using more chemicals than you normally do, chances are that you’re overdue for a sand change as well.  Debris builds up in your sand and, over time, the sand actually wears out and it can no longer filter your pool water like it should so it’s important to have it changed on a regular basis similar to the oil in your car.

PRICING: Our sand changes are priced at $1 per pound of sand required by your filter + our flat rate sand change fee of $139. Your old sand will be left on-site but it can be removed for an additional $20 disposal fee if you’d rather we remove it from your property and dispose of it for you.

Cartridge Filter Changes

Cartridge Filter Changes include brand new cartridges and are priced as estimated. We will come disassemble your cartridge filter and install the new cartridge(s) to optimize your pools filtration abilities.  Cartridges should be changed every 4-5 years depending on your overall pool water quality during this time.  If you’ve had an extremely green or out of balance pool, chances are your cartridges should be changed because they have worn out and can no longer be effectively cleaned with your garden hose.
